Schedule of
Practice
Blue Iris Sangha in New Orleans is a fellowship for the practice of mindfulness, inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and by the precepts of the Order of Interbeing (Tiep Hien). We meet Monday evenings for sitting and walking meditation, dharma discussion, and reciting of the precepts. Everyone interested in the practice of mindfulness is welcome. The gate opens promptly at 6:45 PM. Informal discussion (and time for gathering) follows until 7:00 PM. Recitation of the Threefold Refuge and the Five Precepts and a short dharma talk and discussion follow until 7:40. Sitting and walking meditation practices begin at 7:40 and conclude at 8:30 PM with recitation of an excerpt from the Metta Sutta. For more information, you may inquire by email to info@BlueIrisSangha.org.
